The door switch on the drivers side of my car never did work, and I want to finally get around to fixing it. Having the lights come on when I open the door, and the chime if I leave my lights on is nice...

I assume the door switch power is hot at all times. I took a quick look and it seems that the switch grounds with the mounting screw. My switch tests fine on the bench, so it's either the ground or the power that's the issue. I'll test the ground later, but I'd tend to think it would more likely lie with the power lead.

Where does the switch get power from? I'm hoping to avoid stripping the underside or interior for such a small thing...
