    That is legal.
The two things we need are downforce and front wheel arch clearance. Im going to do whatever I can with the current body until my new wide body is done.

Worked at the carbon fiber shop today.

The rules state that we can not have canards.

I decided to take some measurements and work on a real
Under tray for the hvr and noble for competition.

We had a few different core materials and made a few panels with much success.

I read an article on carbon monocoque and decided to build a test part with the same material listed in the article. This stuff is really stronger than a tube frame and no doubt lighter.

Too bad it isn't legal for competition.

This is what I have been waiting to see Hoover, for you to make a real under tray up front instead of, or in addition to canards !

    The spec. line has rules-

    1. A front spoiler may be fitted. It shall not protrude beyond
the overall outline of the car as viewed from above except
for a front splitter that may extend up to two (2.0) inches.
The additional splitter is allowed only on air dams not
already incorporating a splitter that extends forward of the
factory bumper. The spoiler shall not extend aft of the
forward most part of the front fender opening (cutout),
and shall not be mounted more than four (4) inches above
the horizontal centerline of the front wheel hubs. Fullwidth
bottom shrouding of the front spoiler/nosebox area
(front undertray) is permitted but must be flat and can
extend no farther rearward than the center of the engine
harmonic balancer. Undertray may not be stepped or
curved. Undertray may be angled in side view to produce a
maximum height at the trailing edge of 3.25 inches above
    the ground.
Openings are permitted for the purpose of ducting air to the
brakes, radiator, airbox and/or oil cooler(s); equal openings
may be placed in the standard lower front panel directly
behind openings placed in the spoiler. Joint separations
need not be shown. The spoiler ”pan” area forward of the
leading edge of the front wheel openings shall be flat and
follow, but not exceed, the line of the front fender/spoiler
bottom. No components may protrude or extend below
    this plane.

Based on these rules, what we have won't be optimum.
    These cars need downforce!
Losing some weight on the backend is in progress, but more than likely a month off. These cars will get faster and faster throughout the season.

very excited about this, but the rules are difficult to navigate.

one of the most important parts for downforce will be the front undertray. the past month, i've worked with an aeronautical engineer and we will run a CFD analysis to fine tune the product.

    Hoover,

I am guessing that you were talking about using carbon fibre honeycomb which is very light and strong. Most modern aircraft use it for floor panels in the cabin area but women wearing stiletto heels do some serious damage, so never wear stiletto heals when flying. You could also consider aluminum honeycomb panels, a little heavier (I'm sure you can use a little extra weight in front) super strong and comes in many thicknesses. What's also nice is that there are many types of fittings that can be potted in any of these types of honeycomb to facilitate the mounting of splitters, etc. We actually created small venturis on the outboard sides (in front of the tires) of the undertray on the nose of the Sports 2000's to create extra downforce.

we've modified the turbo system, added an additional oil cooler, revamped cooling systems and brought down HP to under 470whp and an experiemental engine goes in tomorrow.
Not enough time to test, so we'll hope for the best this week.
