    on another note: the only track that I would want data from is California Speedway and 90 dgree. day. It has a long enough straight to make things happen.

    doughnuts left anywhere??? that's normally a sign of Joel, but the other day, it was Torrey!!!

    we'll be changing to a clear back next year, but this will keep him going for now.

    Looking good. The additional air under the clam should help things as well. Can't wait to see the next race. Grapeman,Do we need to pitch in for some video equipment? Please ask for a gopro for Christmas

    I had the same question after looking at the pics, but it's pretty clear when you see the set-up in person.
    There is a new, fixed, curved pipe connecting the tank to the cap you see, so that assembly doesn't move when you raise the clam, but there is enough clearance in the area of the clam around the filler cap so that the clam just slips over the cap as it is raised. Nice work .

    Jeff,
    My final fastback was a compromise intended to help it sell. My first one had a mega NACA duct and no window. Hoover's has to allow for the window and yet also be deep enough for his mega IC. They are all compromises I suppose. The South African guys (apologies for nt remebering your name) one which has no window and the duct beginning high up on the roof line is probably the best of all.

    Looks good Hoover! cant wait to see some data. Have you ot any info on the Inconel heat sheilding for the IC box? Sounds like a useful mod for everyone!

    it's basically Lexan with UV coating.
