visibility is ok for a race car, but we will replace it with a full clear back in 2012.

do you guys want vents in the clear-back? it might let water/dirt in, but also allow air to flow.

    choices............
    No question: vents.

Although I had a busy day yesterday (Friday), I could not resist stopping by for a few minutes to chat with Chris and see Grapeman's car in the flesh.
The fastback treatment looks even better than in the pics, and gives the whole car a real "presence". (Not to mention that it's bound to be a plus on the track.)
    Great Work, guys!

I'm only going to say this once on our fresh start forum: I'm highly motivated to understand everything and therefore question everything. Questions and requests for additional information should not be interpreted as any sort of put down. So...

Given that Mr. Cundy's fastback wind tunnel test revealed that the sharp transition I see at the entrance to the intercooler resulted in decreased flow through the intercooler, will the clear version have a more gradual transition?

Related questions: Do you plan to optimize the shape in a wind tunnel? If not, how will you assess the benefit of fitting the fastback?

    definitely appreciated, Jeff.
it's what it's all about, building a better car and parts.

we have found that the only true way to see if anything works is to use it. that data is often different that engineering calculations, but base design always starts there. We've been very successful with our products through real life tests and hopefully the generation of components will be the same.

we plan to datalogg and see how much improvement there is at the track this month.

there's always a perfect/better design and I'd love to have it myself.
we are building a second verison that "might" move that big intercooler and decrease the angle of entry. BUT, that intercooler is huge and doesn't like to fit anywhere.

the only information I have currently is based on our inconcel insulation vs. a non-insulated IC box and dyno.

generally we see the IC box get to 58dgc. after a pull, the inconel shielding was 28dgc.
the idle temps. are about 8dg c. difference.

    Intercooler:
after one dyno pull, we see the IAT at 40-42c on the "normal" upgraded IC.
the big intercooler was at 28dg. c.

At least we know it is a improvement.

on another note, Paul wanted to make something the community could by and work within the frame of the exisiting Noble and recoupe is R&D through sales, but that failed through little sales.
Since we have a clear back coming, I left the opening up to the owner's descretion to change the receiving angle of the opening and do what they want. This serves both builders and people that don't want to hack up their clam. Personally, the cars look better with a fastback, so i have no problem cutting away on all of my Nobles.
