Not really. If we can make a harness, keep your gauges as a back up. That's a good thing!

one of the benefit of racepack stuff, vs aim (I think) is that you can do conditionnal alarms, for exemple if oil pressure is < 60psi @ 6000rpm, light ON and such, great to not have alarms in transient operation.

    logged:
    oil pressure & temp
water pressure (good for burst hose) & temp
    fuel pressure
    AFR
    rpm
    speed

    display 1
    lap time
    rpm
    oil P

Personnaly I think you dont need to display much but rpm and lap time, everything else on alarm, I dont care what the values are as long as they are in define ranges (I have limited brain power so I try to keep it focus on driving and remove distractions lol). Then if I want I have buttons on the steering wheel (ex noble steering wheel, using horn button) to go to different display showing more data if needed

that's smart! focus on driving. that's the main purpose for us switching as well. especially with dv power, its much too dangergous to look at anything other than the road.

I like oil and water temps during the race. Helpful.

we ordered the gps, harness and additional sensors for oil temps./ pressure today.

will set up the parameters for driver warning. this is the next level for these cars. great tools!
Jim and I talked about gauges today and I still am a great fan of them. You lose one, you still have others working and that is a very good thing.

if you cqn set up step alarms you can have the same "warning" as looking at values. the way I set up mine is that left yellow means "things are getting hot", right yellow "be carefull", bright as hell light in the line of sight "kill the engine right now"
in the straight if i want to see value, press down horn and voila.

you're way more ahead than I am on the newer technology.
i'm so used to looking at gauges, but see the true advantage of a digital display and will move forward.
On DV, I'm going to leave all the stock gauges, since they are there.

Bit of a learning curve for us, but so far, it's only half plug-n-play, there is small amount of wiring, then set up.

    very cool!

can you guys get a pic. of your dash dispaly?
