Officially that is true. But in my experience all you need is a business card for a relevant-sounding business (which does not have to be a real business) when you show up after going through the registration process on line. Alternatively, you can try to hook up with a business on this site who will be there and have them add you to their list of attendees.

SEMA requires two forms of credentials:

    Business card
    Business license or resale license
    Two recent paycheck stubs

SEMA is around the corner and were very excited!!! This year some of the staff signed up to attend as well. In addition, Fabtec is the following week at the Las Vegas Convention center, so Jim and I return to attend a seminar on materials and view all the las test manufacturing machinery. I've never been to Vegas twice in two weeks, but looking forward to it.

    slightly off topic-

Seems like yesterday..... This is my 18th year in a row in attendance; it just flew by. I called up one of our suppliers to order a few Noble components and he is now retired and sold off the business. Got me to thinking of all the people that started far before me. Some of our team members have the passion and asked if I could teach them about everything "outside" the shop and the business of automotive aftermarket. This year will be different as I will guide our employees through the side that most will never see. I'm glad that they have the enthusiasm and excited to see the show for the first time. It's my hope that future generations learn more than just the day in and outs of shop work.

I continue to reflect back more than ever-
This company has reinvented itself over and over and more frequently nowadays. All the hats I've worn from manufacturing, distributing, designing, building and leading this company to the future. It all continues with educating those that have interest. There's so much more than just turning wrenches........

We are very excited to attend!
Woke up very early to check everyone's flight, worked hard all day and packed!

I always wonder what the latest trends are. I know that Superformance is displaying for the first time in 18 years, so that's a great sign for boutique cars manufacturers. I wonder if Jim Price of Hi-Tech will be there?

As always, I'll keep you all informed of anything interesting.

    Stay tuned.....

    Morning-

    Day 2 begins.
Day 1 is always the longest since it includes travel. Half of our staff signed up this year and it's quite a bit more organizing than normal. Some of our interns are learning about this industry and I've become more of a SEMA tour guide this time.

We skipped out on the opening party last nite- the people were far too young and I'm far too old.
