    HVR Super Car

    Hi Folks,

I'll be blogging here with our progress on the HVR Super Car.
We've received quite a few emails etc...I thought it would be easier to keep everyone informed here as well as show the process of building a car from the ground up.

I have quite a few renderings and some of you have seen one of the final side views.

We started off by setting up a mother company to sell our cars, Origin Sports Cars.
To be legal, TH, can build cars, but not sell them.

Thanks!!!! Lots of study into a proper badge and it's just as difficult as I expected it.
I've looked at everything from abstract lettering to some mystic creature and the symbolism and meaning of each.

with are super busy and tight schedule, we managed to work on 3d CAD today. I think we should have the base files done in 3-4 weeks, then on to the details of the body work.

it's our goal to be at cnc in two months.

    here's a top rendering.

The best badges are always simple, understated, with borders that complement the shape of the car. They typically contain elements of where the car was born, a visual cue of what the car is about with focus on strength/beauty/craftsmanship (typically represented through some kind of animal, wings, arrows, ect.), and something relative to the creator (you). The exception to this would be something like our beloved original "Noble" badge which meet only two criteria from the above list but worked because it represented the simplicity of the design without the need for a visual cue (animal, wings, ect.). Rossion did a good job with their badge being properly representative of the vehicle, creator, and birthright (but -in my opinion- suffered from a less then desirable namesake that doesn't roll of the tongue or lend itself to comfortable speech somehow) We always though Dean and crew should have just gone with his last name: "Rossen". "Origin" is a good, strong, three syllable name with a punch that has personal meaning to you. Don't forget the badge needs to be symmetrical too. Not to may old company badges out there with asymmetrical borders (and lets face it we all want the company around for the long haul right?!). The only asymtrcl. I can think of is the Jaguar "leaper" and thats only cause it works on a luxury saloon, they use the "growler" on all the "R" cars. Its easiest when the badge speaks for itself. Lets face it our cars (low volume boutique performance sports cars) are not easy to explain to people as it is, so a good strong badge is all the more important to convey what the car is about. Our $.02 from a consumers view.

    working on wheel base.
it started getting much longer than we wanted.
we have it down to approximately 6" longer in body work than a Noble and 3" longer on the wheel base.
