    Normal socket or combination wrench will do . Access is not a problem. The washers are available at any auto store. You can heat them [old ones] with a gas torch till they glow. Let cool naturally....

    Also check the cables move freely in their outers. These can get damaged by heat. I sprayed lubricant into mine till it came out in the tunnel side. You can hardly feel any stiction.
